SLE Presentation Ideas

As a culmination to the Summer Learning experience students will meet in small groups with a teacher & student facilitator.  Each student is required to come to the meeting prepared to present on their SLE Experience for two minutes

Here are some possible TWO MINUTE presentation ideas:

Ask the group a series of questions related to this year's theme and media

Create a MAD LIB about your SLE experience and ask your group mates to fill in the blanks.
Then read the finished product

Perform the song you chose

Write your own song based on your SLE media and share it with the group

Design and lead and very short game

Choose one of the media you experienced and create a RAP that explains it that you can share with the group

Make and describe a work of art -- painting drawing, sculpture, diorama, quilt, etc.

Write a poem based on your SLE experience, and read it to the group

Create a collage from magazines and newspapers and explain it to the group

Make and describe a poster

Write a precis to share with your group

Imagine you are writing a letter to a friend about your SLE experience, read the letter to your group

Make a cake (or or other tasty treat cookies) and talk about how that experience connects to the SLE experience

Create a favorite dish of one of the book/movie characters and present it to the group

Of course, you can choose another option, just remember: You've got TWO MINUTES!!

Student presentations will be evaluated criteria including:

  • Preparedness
  • Originality
  • Clear connection to one or more of the SLE media in the presentation
  • Stays within the alloted time limits
  • Connection to this year's THEME of SLE
  • Overall presentation
