Textbook Purchasing Information

Beginning July 16th, you will be able to order your books online and have them delivered directly to your home. Our virtual bookstore can be found at www.k12studentdirect.com. Using our virtual bookstore is fast and easy. Also, available for reference, is a 2007-2008 booklist at www.bishopfeehan.com.

Simply go to www.k12studentdirect.com, enter the login information provided by your school under First Time Shoppers, and follow the instructions for creating your own account. Once you have created your own account, you will enter the site using your personal Student User ID and Password. The site will automatically take you to the Search For Course Materials screen. Here you will locate the courses you are taking, select your books, and follow the process to completion. Adams will deliver the books wherever you prefer in the continental United States.

Ordering through our virtual bookstore requires that you have access to a computer with an Internet connection. If you do not have access to a computer linked to the Internet either at home or at work, you may check with your local library or we will arrange access through our computers. Please check with the school office for scheduled access times.

Detailed instructions for navigating the website can be found by clicking the Help button on the top of your computer screen. We trust that you will find the website quite easy to navigate.

When Can I Place My Order?

www.k12studentdirect.com will open for ordering on July 16th. The site will remain open twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week. We encourage you to order as early as possible in the summer.

Shipping

When placing your order, you will be given the opportunity to specify shipping times. You may request that books be shipped to arrive before or after a certain date. The shipping rates are as follows:

Ground - $4.00 + 4% of your total order
Priority Ground - $7.00 + 7% of your total order
2-Day Air - $10.00 + 10% of your total order
Next Day Air - $10.00 + 20% of your total order

Payment Method

The easiest way to pay for your order is to use a credit card. Adams maintains the highest level of encryption technology so that your credit card information remains safe and private.

If you choose not to use a credit card, you can still order your books online but will have the option to pay by money order. You will then be required to send in your money order with a print out of your online ‘shopping cart.’ Your books will ship upon receipt of your money order.

Customer Service

Toll free customer service can be reached at 877-560-2651. This phone number is for assistance and customer service questions – not for placing orders. Customer service hours during the ordering season are 9AM to 7PM EST Monday through Thursday and 9AM to 5PM Fridays. You will also be able to contact Adams via email through the website.

Returns

If you order a book in error, or if you decide to change courses, we will accept your book for return. You may return books to Adams within 30 days of the school’s add/drop date. If your school does not have an official Add/Drop date, then we will accept your return within 30 days of the start of school. Books returned for refund must be in new, resalable condition. Books that meet the above requirements will be refunded at 100% of purchase price (this refund will not include any shipping costs.)

We recommend that you return books using a shipping method that offers you the ability to track your package - this will allow you to confirm receipt of the package at our warehouse.

Adams Student Direct virtual bookstore will be the only method that the school will provide for supplying books for the fall semester. If you have a method for obtaining new or used books elsewhere, you may do so. However, Bishop Feehan is not responsible for books purchased from any company other than Adams Book Company.
