The offense was unable to get on track today and could only muster up one run in the game despite a good starting pitching performance by Dan Kroll. Kroll was able to hold Stang at bay for a while, but walks and timely hits in the 3rd and 4th innings by Stang helped them pull ahead and not look back.
Feehan was only able to plate one run in the game off of 5 hits. Pat Burke had 2 of the hits in the game and the only RBI for Feehan.

Jeff LaRochelle pitched 6 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 9 Durfee batters. Dan Kroll had a big day at the plate and was 5-5 in the game with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI’s.

Feehan’s defense on Wednesday was a disaster from the onset and it proved costly as it they took their fifth loss of the season right on the chin. The defense could not pull them out of the funk they were in and the errors surmounted and snowballed throughout the game. Although fine pitching performances by Micah Macari and Jeff LaRochelle were spoiled, they kept Feehan in the game.
The highlight of the game however, was Feehan’s willingness to battle again to the final out. Down 3 runs in the ninth inning, Feehan was able to threaten scoring twice in the extra inning and had the bases loaded with two out. A nice play by the Durfee shortstop put an end to the rally as he tossed the ball to second recording the final out of the game.
Although the Feehan Freshman lacked focus today, their ability to handle adversity and never give up was reinforced again today. The Freshman are competitive and have heart and no matter what the circumstances have been for them this year they have battled in every game to the final out. Interesting to note, the freshman have now lost 5 games by a total of 6 runs.

Gary Trottier was a work horse on the mound on Tuesday, pitching 6 strong innings for Feehan. Along the way, Gary struck out 4 Stang batters, allowed 4 runs (3 earned), and walked 3. The offense didn’t get going until late in the game again by doing all of their scoring in the fifth inning. Feehan put up 5 in the fifth inning when the Stang pitcher lost control of his pitches and walked 3 in the inning and hit one batter. Jack Labelle had 2 RBI’s in the inning while Micah Macari and Dan Kroll each chipped in with base hits for RBI’s.
Jeff LaRochelle came in and shut the door in the seventh recording the save for Feehan’s seventh victory this year.

A combination of good pitching performances by Dan Kroll, Micah Macari, and Gary Trottier coupled with Feehan’s 4 hits, sloppy defense by King Phillip and 2 walks by King Phillip’s pitcher in the sixth inning, helped Feehan’s Freshman gain their 6th win of the season on Friday. Dan Kroll started the game and pitched 3 innings allowing 3 runs on 3 hits giving up 3 walks. Micah Macari came in relief in the 4th and 5th not allowing any runs and only gave up one hit. Gary Trottier closed the game by pitching the 6th and 7th inning’s and recorded the save.
Jack Labelle, C.J. Lapierre, Gary Trottier, Jeff LaRochelle, each had RBI’s in the 6th inning to help Feehan secure the victory.

It was another hard fought game for Feehan on Wednesday, but they came up 1 run short again for the 3rd time this season against North Attleboro. Joe Sheehan didn’t have his best stuff today and struggled with his control early in the game. Joe was relieved Jeff LaRochelle in the 3rd inning when he was unable to get anyone out. Jeff went the rest of the way on the hill and kept the freshman in the game the rest of the way through. Jeff only allowed 2 hits and 2 walks shutting down the North Attleboro offense for the rest of the game. The offense however struggled and was not able to get anything going for the rest of the game.

It was an impressive day for Dan Kroll as he was on cruise control vs. Attleboro on Tuesday going the distance on the mound. Seven strong controlled innings of mixing up his pitching and hitting spots left Attleboro batters mustering up only one hit in the game. Kroll struck out 11 of the 26 batters he faced in the game walking only one. Kroll also had a great game at the plate going 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 3 stolen bases.
C.J. Lapierre led the team offensively in the game going 3-4 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI’s. C.J. is now leading the team in hitting with an average of .708, .764 OBP, 12 RBI’s and 5 extra base hits.
Jack LaBelle also had a great day at the plate going 2-4 with a run scored 3 RBI’s and 3 stolen bases.

After a long day and night of extra inning baseball with Cumberland, RI on Friday it was time for Feehan to get back to work on Saturday. What a time for the first perfect game on defense for the Feehan Freshman as they were set to embark on yet their second straight extra inning affair of come back baseball. 21 put outs in the field including 2 double plays and strong pitching performances by Joe Sheehan and Dan Kroll were the differences in this game. The outfielders, Mike Silvestri, Robbie Achin, Pat Burke and David Nethercote tracked fly balls flawlessly helping starting pitcher Joe Sheehan throw nothing but strikes to Foxboro. The infielders Gary Trottier (SS), Nathan Patch (2B), Aidan Farrell (1B) and C.J. Lapierre (3B) flashed their leather around like they had been doing it for 4 years. Jack LaBelle (C) managed the game behind the plate like a veteran not allowing any passed balls.
Sheehan pitched 6 innings in the game and had great control of his pitches keeping his fastball low and his curveball baffling Foxboro batters and keeping them off balance. Sheehan only walked 2 Foxboro batters and scattered 8 hits in the game.
Dan Kroll came in relief in the seventh inning under strenuous circumstances. Kroll threw strikes and again was helped out by the defense. With the winning run on third base and two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Foxboro hit a soft grounder to Trottier at SS who charged hard. Trottier fielded the ball cleanly on the run and fired the off balance strike to First Base recording the third out of the inning and pushing the game into extra frames.
In the top of the 8th inning it was the combination of Kroll and Mike Silvestri who did Foxboro in. Dan drew a full count walk to lead off the inning. On the very next pitch Kroll stole second. Silvestri came to the plate to sacrifice Kroll to third. Silvestri orchestrated the play to perfection pushing the bunt up the first base line. As the catcher fielded the ball out in front of the plate on the first base side he fired to first retiring Silvestri. Kroll seeing the catchers position on the field never broke stride and rounded third base for home. Kroll came in with the head first slide just beating out the throw back from first to home to push the go ahead run across the plate in the top of the 8th inning. Foxboro threatened again in the bottom of the 8th inning loading the bases with two out, but Mike Silvestri was able to track down a line drive to CF to end the game.
C.J. Lapierre, Jack LaBelle, Robbie Achin, and Joe Sheehan each had RBI’s in the game.

Robbie White was inconsistent on the mound running into trouble in the second and fourth innings. Cumberland Robbie didn’t get much help defensively though as 4 of the 6 errors made by Feehan today were during those early innings. Robbie struck out 2, walked 3, hit one batter and allowed 7 earned runs.
Jeff LaRochelle came in during the fourth inning when things seemed to be going south for Feehan. LaRochelle rose to the occasion though and pitched remarkably. LaRochelle kept delivering one big pitch after the other throughout the remainder of the game to give Feehan numerous opportunities to seize the win. LaRochelle finished the game striking out 8 Cumby batters while only walking 4 and allowing 2 runs.
Although Feehan had numerous opportunities to win the game, it was their toughness and mental fortitude that kept them battling in the game. This team never quits and today was just another day to prove just that. Down 8-4 in the fourth inning, Feehan was able to put up 5 runs to push ahead of Cumberland 9-8. The rally in the fourth was started by Mike Silvestri who delivered a perfect bunt down the 3rd base line for a single with one out. David Nethercote then walked putting runners on first and second. Jeff LaRochelle delivered a base hit to left field scoring Silvestri. After the next batter grounded out to shortstop, Gary Trottier walked loading the bases for Freshman C.J. Lapierre. Lapierre blasted a two run double to left/centerfield scoring Nethercote and LaRochelle. The clean up hitter, Jack LaBelle then came up and singled in both Trottier and Lapierre.
After Cumberland put up a run in the tenth, Feehan was ready to go to work again. Battling throughout the game the team was not ready to quit yet. Dan Kroll came to the plate with two outs and a man on second and crushed a 1-0 fastball to the base of the fence for a game tying RBI triple.
Offensive leaders for the game were, Dan Kroll who was 2-6 with 2 RBI’s, C.J. Lapierre 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI’s, Jack LaBelle 3-5 with a double and 2 RBI’s and Mike Silvestri who was 2-3 and on base 4 times in the game.

Another strong pitching performance from Gary Trottier led the Feehan Freshman to their second win of the season. Although Trottier struggled with his off speed pitch, he was able to keep his fast ball low in the strike zone which kept Foxboro from making solid contact all day. For the day, Trottier pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits. Trottier struck out 6 along the way.
Jeff LaRochelle came in during the fifth inning and did a tremendous job throwing strikes. Although LaRochelle only appeared at the plate 2 times he was the only Feehan player to turn out a multi-hit game going 2-2 with 2 runs scored a stolen base and an RBI.
As far as the defense, what a difference a day makes. The team was able to turn around a previous nine error game and play near perfect defense (1 error). Kroll was spectacular at shortstop gobbling up everything hit to him and throwing perfect strikes over to first. Jack Labelle (C) and Aidan Farrell (1B) also turned in solid efforts defensively at their positions.

Joe Sheehan went six strong innings on the mound. Joe was unsettled in the first inning and allowing 2 runs coming off a 2 out double by Coyle Cassidy. Joe settled down throughout the next 5 innings scattering 6 hits and only walking 1 more batter. Joe didn’t get much help defensively as Coyle was able to put up a 3 run second inning that made the difference in the game. Joe also had a good day at the plate reaching base 3 of 4 appearances with a hit.
The Feehan Freshman made a bunch of mistakes in the field though which made the difference in the game. In total the freshman made 9 errors in the game. Although the team hung tough and tried to battle back in the bottom of the 7th inning, they were not able to come up with one more hit with the tying and winning runs in scoring position.
Offensively the boys were off balance most of the game by way of a crafty lefty for Coyle. Numerous ground balls induced by the Coyle pitcher and good defense were the difference in the game. The offensive leaders in the game were Lapierre and Brawley who each had 2 hits in 4 at bats.

Robbie White went the distance on the mound and led the freshmen to their first win of the season. Robbie pitched masterfully as he had the Attleboro batters off balance throughout the most of the game. He only gave up 7 hits, and 2 runs of which none of the runs being earned. Robbie had great control of both his fastball and curveball during the game only walking 2 Attleboro batters and striking out 7.
The freshmen however are still struggling with their defense. Four errors in the game and fly balls that should have been caught allowed Attleboro to put numerous base runners on. However, Robbie pitched out of numerous jams allowing the offense to do their work.
The offense did their scoring in the 2nd and 6th innings. David Nethercote, CJ Lapierre, and White had RBI’s in the 2nd inning and Micah Macari had a big two out 2 run single in the 6th during the game.

Dan settled down through the next two innings only allowing one run. It was a great effort by the freshman.
Jeff LaRochelle came in relief in the fourth inning. Jeff went an 1 1/3 innings giving up 5 hits, 4 runs while striking out 2 batters. Hendricken got to Jeff in the 5th inning with 3 hits, 2 for extra bases. Jeff struggled with his control in the inning as he walked 3.

The offense did most of their scoring in the 1st and 4th innings. Leading the team at the plate was Trottier who went 3-3 at the plate with a walk and 2 RBI’s. CJ Lapierre had another great day going 2-2 with a double, two walks, 2 RBI’s and a stolen base. Dan Kroll also contributed a multi-hit game with 2 hits including a double and 1 RBI.

Robbie White came in relief in the middle of the fourth proceeding to go the rest of the distance. Robbie gave up 5 hits, 2 runs and struck out 2. Robbie had good command of his fastball and curveball and only walked one batter.
The offense sputtered in the first three innings as North Attleboro pitching ace Troy Richardson shut them down and did not allow a hit. The bats came alive though in the latter half of the game and the Rocks were able to bang out 7 hits in four innings scoring 5.
The offense was led by C.J. Lapierre who went 3 for 4 with two doubles, 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Jack Labelle also had a good day at the dish going 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI’S.
The defense was solid all day long and only made one error in the field.
