Feehan Student’s Essay Wins Laptop from Stonehill College

Bishop Feehan High School junior Ryan Post of North Attleboro recently won first place for grade 11 in the 3rd Annual Social Justice Essay Contest honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sponsored by Stonehill College. The college received more than 150 essays on the theme “Living as Brothers and Sisters; Rising to the Challenge of St. Paul and Martin Luther King, Jr.” The contest asked students to combine King’s message of social justice with Stonehill’s mission, which is “to educate the whole person so that each graduate thinks, acts, and leads with courage toward the creation of a more just and compassionate world.” Post read his winning essay at a public ceremony in Alumni Hall on the Stonehill Campus, and received his prize: a laptop computer.
