A Message from the Director of Athletics

A Word from Mr. O'Boy

The motto of Bishop Feehan High School is “Sanctity – Scholarship – Sportsmanship”. The mission of the school is clearly reflected in this motto.

Sportsmanship is a broad term that encompasses the right relationship and the fairness we owe to others. Nowhere is this virtue better learned than in participating with others in the pursuit of a common goal. This virtue can be practiced in the band, on the court or in the field of play.

In athletics the bond that develops between teammates is a condition that exemplifies the ideal of sportsmanship. The values that are nurtured on the fields of play are hard work, discipline, faith in self, Faith in God, humility, pride, and courage. These are values that can serve a lifetime.

Our athletic program has been successful in developing sportsmanship and the values indicated, as well as gaining recognition for Bishop Feehan High School through championship competition. We strive to continue this legacy.
