Shamrocks Move onto D 2 South Semifinal vs Bourne HS at Home on Thursday at 7pm

With a hard fought victory over the Cougars of Notre Dame Academy of Hingham the Lady Shamrocks Season will continue on Thursday Night at Home vs Bourne HS. The Rocks payed three very good games against a very talented NDA squad. Games 1 and 2 were both back and forth affairs with the girls from Feehan prevailing by identical scores of 25-21. Junior Jackie Atkinson had 2 of her 9 kills for points 24 and 25 to seal a game 1 victory while Junior Amy Lepley had a big block, 3 for the match, for the game winner in the second. Passing was a big part of the Shamrocks game as everyone who was passing brought their "A" games and Kerin DeGirolamo ran the offence, mixing in all her hitters throughout the match. Lysa Sim, Lauren Walsh, Jess Nolan, Kristen Walsh and Jackie Atkison were all in the zone in either Serve Receive passing or DIGGING the big hitters from NDA. See you all Thursday Come on over to the GYM and DIG our SHOW!!!

Tuesday October 30:

Fr Won 2-1 Finish at 9-0
JV Won 2-1 Finish at 15-5
V Won 3-1 Reg Season Complete at 19-1 EAC Champs at 8-0

A Great Senior Night for the Shamrocks with a 3-1 Victory over the Medway Mustangs. Starting the night recognizing our 4 seniors for all their hard work and dedication to the Feehan Volleyball Program. The Junior and sophomore members of the Varsity along with the JV and FR teams gave the girls a night to remember, a colorfully decorated gym, posters and pictures everywhere and flowers among other nice gifts. Becca Santos, Lysa Sim, Kerin DeGirolamo and Kristen Walsh have done a great job in the past 4 years and we look forward to their leadership throughout the State Tournament. Oh Yeah we played a volleyball match last night as well. Serving, the Rocks came out with their most aggressive and consistent serving of the season and it paid off big as the tough serves kept Medway off their power game. Defense, again if you know volleyball you know without good passing setters and hitters are not going to be able to do their jobs. From Serve receive passing to our passing in transition the girls let very few opportunities get away and the setter and hitters enjoyed the fun. The Offence with some power and finesse shots, hitting line, power cross court and the tips and power tips kept a very good TVL runner up Medway looking for some answers. With the WIN the SHAMROCKS finish with a REGULAR SEASON BEST of 19-1 in Coach Reardons 15 seasons. Next up the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional Tournament.
