Bishop Feehan: Michienzi, Rabbitt (7) and Karalis.
Bishop Stang: Lacey, Kelly (6) and Hatch.
Record: Bishop Feehan 11-6; 3-2 in EAC.
The story of the day was the pitching of Tom Michienzi, as the senior did a great job getting Feehan back on the winning track, stopping the Bishop Stang hitters and pitching 6 gutsy innings for the victory. Michienzi threw 6 innings of 4 hit ball giving up only 1 earned run in the first inning, picking up his 2nd wins of the season. Everyday, Dakota Rabbitt pitched a great inning in relief and sealed the deal with a strikeout to end of the game with Sting’s best hitter at the plate, Mike Pratt.
Matt Boulter got things started early with a 2 run home run to right field to set the tone that Feehan was here to send a message. Ryan Lee had a good day at the plate going 1 for 3 with 3 RBI’s. The Shamrocks stole 6 bases in the game to tie the school record of 76 in one season, dating back to 1998. With three games to go, you can feel safe this one record that won’t go unbroken.
