5/21/08--> Maryssa Allen pitched the Shamrocks to an impressive victory over cross town rival Attlebor yesterday. It was a complete game 3 hit shutout. Maryssa struck out 14 batters and gave up no walks as the Shamrocks improved to 8-9. Morgan Lindberg went 3-3 with two singles, a double, two RBI's and two runs scored.
4/17---> Feehan loses a heart breaker to Stang 7-6 in 9 innings. Feehan scored two runs in the first inning taking an early lead. Kerin DiGirolamo singled and Morgan Lindberg drew a walk. Kayla Holland hit a two run triple to put the Shamrocks ahead 2-0. Stang answered with one run in the bottom of the third. Stang then got three runs in the fifth to take a 4-2 lead. The Shamrocks scraped a run across in the 6th. Kayla Holland led off the inning with a single, followed by a walk to Jackie Atkinson. A pass ball moved Kayla to third and Spencer Driscoll hit a single to left scoring Kayla. Down by two runs going into the seventh, Kerin DeGirolamo led off with a base hit. She moved to second on a pass ball just before Morgan Lindberg hit her in with an RBI double. Kayla Holland continued her hitting display with a two run homer putting the Shamrocks up 6-4. Stang, who returned all 9 starters from last year, answered in the bottom of the seventh with a 2 out, 2 strike, 2 run homerun. Feehan threatened in the 8th and 9th but could not score. Stang scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to win the game 7-6. Kayla Holland was 3-5 with 4 RBIs, a triple and a homerun. Kerin DeGirolamo and Morgan Lindber both had a pair of hits. Feehan is now 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the league.
4/15---:> Feehan defeated Somerset today 6 - 3. Feehan scored first in the second inning
with a leadoff triple by Kayla Holland who scored on a fielder's choice
by Karyn Bickerstaffe. Feehan scored two more in the third. Spencer
Driscoll led off with a single followed by a fly out and a strikeout.
With two outs, Spencer stole second base and Kerin DeGirolamo
got a hit moving Spencer to third. Morgan Lindberg drove in
both runners with a triple down the right field line. Somerset answered
with two runs in the top of the fourth while stranding three runners.
Feehan broke it open in the fourth with 3 more runs including a 2 RBI
double by Lexy Sturdy and an RBI double by Colleen Bilafer. Lexy Sturdy
went 2 - 4 with a double, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored. Kerin DeGirolamo
was 4 - 4 with 2 stolen bases and 1 run scored. Kayla Holland was 2 - 3
with a tirple and one run scored. Feehan scattered 14 hits throughout
the game. This brings their record to 4 - 3 overall and 1 - 1 in
the EAC. Feehan plays Stangs away at 3:30 on Thursday.
4/10---> Bishop Feehan dropped to Coyle Cassidy 3-0. Coyle scored single runs
in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th innings. Maryssa Allen pitched 6 innings,
recorded 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, 7 hits, and 0 earned runs. Feehan
threatened in the top of the sixth with a lead off single by Lexy Sturdy,
followed by a single by Kayla Holland. Kerin DeGirolamo flew out for the
first out of the inning. Jackie Atkinson was robbed of a hit up the
middle by an excellent play by the Coyle shortstop which turned into a
double play. Colleen Bilafer went 2-3 in the game. Lexy Sturdy and Kayla
Holland were both 1-3. Morgan Lindberg had a good game behind the plate
with a few nice defensive plays including a throw out on an attempted
steal.

Maryssa Allen pitched all seven innings with 0 walks, 1 strikeout, 6 hits, 0 runs. She had 1, 2, 3 innings in the first, second, third and 7th inning.
Feehan scored one run in the first on a homerun by Kerin DeGirolamo. In the fourth, Kerin led off with a walk and then Kayla Holland moved her to second with a base hit. Both runners advanced on a pass ball. Kerin scored on a pass ball. Jackie Atkinson hit a single driving in Kayla. Morgan Lindberg got a base hit moving Jackie to second. Lexy Sturdy hit a lazy fly ball just over the head of the pitcher. The umpire called infield fly but not loud enough for the runners to hear. Jackie, therefore, got thrown out at third and Morgan moved to second. Becca Santos hit a double, driving in Morgan. Kerin was 1-2 with a homerun and a walk and two runs scored. Kayla Holland was 1-3 with 1 run scored. Morgan Lindberg was 2-3 with 1 run scored. Becca Santos was 2-3 with 1 double and 1 RBI. Jackie Atkinson was 1-3 with 1 RBI.
