That 3rd place finish earned the four Feehan Athletes All-American status. Without stating the obvious, the boys set an unofficial school record by running 31.33 in the 55 meter Shuttle Hurdle race. The winning team from the Franklin TC out of Tennessee (30.19) and Sheepshead Bay out of New York State (30.65) both ran great races with Feehan running 31.33. Track: New England Title for Conway!!!

--> Chris Conway became only the third track athlete in Feehan history to win a New England Championship title on Friday night at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. Chris's winning performance in the 55 meter Hurdles of 7.49 is also the leading performance in all of New England this indoor season. Chris showed his competitive spirit by bouncing back from a disappointing 2nd place finish in the All-State meet last Monday night. Chris lost the All-State meet by 5 1000th of a second. Needles to say, his winning time blows away his own school record of 7.58. Chris joins Brian Kelley (1990 300m I.H.) and Meg Looney (2007 600m) as the only other Feehan athletes to win New England Titles. Speaking of Meg Looney: Meg was unable to defend her New England title from last year as she finished second at this years meet. Meg however, was able to defend her All-State title last Monday in the 600 meter run. Her time of 1:34.35 gained that victory. Although she was ABLE to improve her time on Friday night to 1:34.10 she was unable to hold off Eryn Wheeler of Coventry RI. (1:33.79). IT was still an outstanding season for both Chris and Meg. They have had a storied career at Bishop Feehan High School.

Hockey:

--> The boy’s hockey team lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the Canalmen of Bourne High School. The boys got off to a great start going up 2-0 in the first period.
