"Kristen Ettensohn Memorial A-L'Homme-Ni Meet" Wrap

Running for Kristen
On July 16, over 200 alumni, friends and family turned out to support the Kristen Ettensohn Memorial A-L’homme-ni Track Meet which raised over $6,000 for the Kristen Ettensohn Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Bishop Feehan Track & Field program. Over 125 participated in their choice of 27 scheduled events while others were there to cheer runners on. Ninety people participated in the Cross Country Fun Run/Walk and more than a dozen little ones competed in the children’s 100 meter dash. Olympic Alumni came from as far as Georgia. Doug Clinton ’97 came all the way from Charleston, SC , while Perry Mayer ’75 came from Elizabeth City, NC. The atmosphere was positively charged with friendship and great memories of both Kristen and their own days on the track and field here at Feehan. “Kristen was a very special person,” coach Bob L’Homme ’77 said, “Her parents Drs. David and Linda Ettensohn, her brother Derek, and her fiancé Paul Ryan are also very special. Of course, it meant the world that they were there to support the whole thing.” The event concluded with a cookout, courtesy of Morin’s Diner.
