Varsity Coach for Cheerleading

Varsity Coach for Cheerleading

Bishop Feehan High School is seeking a varsity cheerleading coach to lead a game and competitive competition program. Ideal candidates should have previous cheerleading coaching experience including choreography of game and competition material, possess effective coaching techniques and foster Catholic faith traditions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Dedication of time 4 plus nights per week (including weekends) from end of August- middle of March. Establish regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide both individual and team development
  • Organize and supervise summer Shamrock Co-Ed cheerleading camp for participants entering Grades 1-9 (variety of skill levels)
  • Participate in special activities to include: open houses, school rallies, athletic events
  • Work with Athletic Director in scheduling facilities for practices, budgetary requests and competition entries
  • Collaboration with crowd leading activities during football and basketball games
  • Collaboration with outside agencies as necessary
  • Practice and critique of choreographed competition routine
  • Teach and assess skills to cheerleaders of various skill levels
  • Establish and maintain standards of athlete behavior and provide proper supervision of students at all times
  • Collaborate/assist JV coach and team
  • Follow the mission of the school- Sanctity, Scholarship, Sportsmanship

Head Coach for Boys and Girls Swim & Dive

Head Coach for Boys and Girls Swim & Dive

Bishop Feehan High School is seeking a head coach for Boys and Girls Swim & Dive.  Bishop Feehan has strong programs at the girls division 1 and boys division 2 levels. 

The school is seeking a qualified candidate to continue the success and growth of the program as a whole. The responsibilities of the head coach include analyzing swim and dive techniques, teaching swim and dive techniques, determining skill levels, and developing individualized swim programs.

Previous college and high school playing experience is preferred. Prior coaching experience is required.

  • Previous coaching experience

  • Current member in a good standing with USA Swimming

  • Must pass a background check to work with children

  • Must be CPR/AED certified and maintain current coaching certification

  • Current Lifeguard Certification

  • High level swimming experience at club or collegiate level

  • Ability to set and achieve individual and team goals and encourage others to do the same 

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and management skills

  • Good knowledge of health and nutrition

  • A positive attitude and willingness to work long hours
