The Elevated Boston team is pleased to announce our first-ever Elevated Boston Leadership Scholarship.

This individual should personify the qualities of strength, perseverance and kindness while working to improve his/her life or the lives of others.

Annual Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarship Award Program information is now posted on our Guidance Webpage. 
 
This is the first year the eligibility is open to all seniors seeking higher education.  The exam and written essay has been revamped this year. Students who wish to take the exam can register by visiting www.massaflcio.org/scholaships and submitting the form.

Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIASF provides scholarships to underserved AAPI students with a special focus on those who:

AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship Essay Contest

AFA’s Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship Essay Contest is an annual competition for college-bound high school seniors. 

Applicants are asked to write a 1,200 to 1,500-word essay that describes the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on themselves, their families or their communities, and what they have learned in light of coping with the brain disorder.

The grand prize winner receives $5,000, with additional prizes awarded for runners up.

Hockomock Area YMCA-Dean College Scholarship - due February 26
The Hockomock Area YMCA is proud to partner with Dean College to offer a $36,000 scholarship to a deserving young person who has been actively involved with the Hockomock Area YMCA. In recognition of a strong, innovative community partnership forged between local institutions united in a common effort to positively influence the quality of life in our communities, the Hockomock Area YMCA-Dean College Scholarship offers the partners a vehicle to impact the YMCA mission to “emphasize the development of the whole person in spirit, mind and body.” We are proud to offer a $36,000 scholarship to a deserving young person who has been actively involved with the Hockomock Area YMCA. 
 
The scholarship is renewable for subsequent years provided the student maintains a GPA of 2.7 or higher.

George Coleman Scholarship - due March 1

Each year, the New England Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers awards scholarships to three high school graduates who will be enrolling in a NEACRAO member institution for the fall semester of that year.

Each high school graduate who is selected is awarded $2,000. Each recipient of the scholarship is selected from candidates who are recommended by New England secondary school counselors.

WYBSA (Wrentham Youth Baseball and Softball Association) offers $500 scholarships to young men and women who have played WYBSA baseball or softball.

Elmer W. Greatrex was a lifelong resident of Eastern Massachusetts who made his living in the printing trade business who spent his later year in Foxbough. Although he was not able to attend college himself, he cherished the idea that he could help others continue their education beyond high school. In his will he left a generous bequest to create The Greatrex Scholarship Fund.

The Mansfield Field of Honor Scholarship is awarded annually to recognize, encourage and contribute to the higher education of Mansfield residents who are sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers or sisters of qualified Veterans, Active-duty Service Members, Mansfield Police Officers, Fire Fighters, EMT or Para-Medic.

The scholarship is presented to honor the family of those individuals who currently serve/have served our Town and Nation. As a tribute to their service, this scholarship program is in keeping with an unofficial motto for Mansfield: The Crossroads of Massachusetts similar in life when one graduates from High School to embark upon new endeavors. 

This scholarship is in the amount of $500.
