Babson College

Summer Study for High School Students. In this immersive 3.5-week, virtual summer program, rising juniors and seniors develop as entrepreneurial leaders while earning credits from the top-ranked college for entrepreneurship. This year, we will be offering two cohorts: July 5 – 28 and July 21 – August 13, 2021.

At Babson Summer Study, students from around the world will cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset for overcoming challenges in any organization, in any role. Immersed in our unique Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® methodology for turning ideas into action, students will gain practical skills and an unparalleled perspective on real-world business challenges to create value for themselves and for society.

Baylor University

Baylor's summer Accelerate program is a way for high school students to begin college courses in an online environment while still in high school. Classes will be taught by Baylor faculty in the supportive Christian environment that is a hallmark of a Baylor education. Students will learn alongside their peers and also have the assurance that these classes will support most degree plans and majors.

Boston University

Boston University Summer Terms is offering 5 exciting programs for high school students. All programs provide students with a rigorous and collaborative college life experience that enable them to gain a strong sense of their person and academic potential. In summer 2021, participants can attend remotely from anywhere in the world. 


Boston University

Boston University presents a virtual classroom experience for high school students interested in journalism, writing or photography. The Boston University Summer Journalism Academy gives students ages 14 to 18 the opportunity to expand their skills and prepare for college during a time of uncertainty and limited travel due to this year’s pandemic.

Precollege Economics Program for High School Students at Bryant University 

In this program students will learn how to apply economic knowledge to affect social change. Students will have the opportunity to work closing with Bryant University faculty during an immersive, five day, in-person experience. By the end of the program, students will have learned both basic and advanced economic concepts and have the ability to analyze current policy issues. All students who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Bryant University Economics Department. Students can apply online at

Catholic University of America (CUA)

Catholic University of America (CUA) is an intense, two-week, pre-college workshop for students interested in architecture or other design-related fields. Students are exposed to both the academic and professional sides of the architectural arena, as the city of Washington, D.C. becomes their virtual classroom.

EiA will better prepare students for the rigors of architecture school, giving them a head start, as well as acquainting them with campus life at the university level. Students who have participated in EiA’s summer workshop, or a similar pre-college program, are better prepared for success at the university level.

The Experiences in Architecture (EiA) program at the Catholic University of America (CUA) is an intense, two-week, pre-college workshop for students interested in architecture or other design-related fields. This year EiA will continue with its online experience! We have phenomenal instructors that are experienced in creating a successful online studio environment with small groups and individualized focus. As students in the program, you will still have access to all of our best lecturers and get to experience virtual tours of museums, firms and the CUA campus. Students will receive their own set of tools and we look forward to working through this tool kit to ensure students gain the foundational knowledge they need for drawing, sketching and model making.

Students will leave this workshop with an array of technical skills, a higher level of confidence in giving presentations, a greater understanding of how the design profession works and connections with professors and practitioners. This is truly an one-of-a-kind experience that we would love to share with you.

The Le Moyne College Summer Scholar Program offers current high school students completing their sophomore or junior year the opportunity to take up to two college courses prior to graduation. Qualified candidates must have a minimum high school grade point average of 87. If test scores are available, students should have a PSAT/SAT score of at least 1000 or an ACT score of 22.

Pratt’s summer 2021 PreCollege Intensive Program provides students with an opportunity to build their art and design skills, create a portfolio of their work, and explore possibilities for study and employment in creative fields. Classes are modeled after Pratt’s undergraduate curriculum, taught by experienced faculty and alumni in order to provide students with a rich and immersive educational experience. The application-only program equips students with elective college credits accepted at Pratt and most other colleges and universities.

Regis College

A pre-college program designed specifically for rising high school juniors and seniors, the Summer Scholars Program at Regis College allows you to get a head start on your college experience and earn academic credit while still in high school.


Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute  


2021 PREFACE Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute! PREFACE is a summer program for talented students who have been historically under-represented in science, engineering, and the technological fields, and who express a strong, early interest in pursuing careers in these areas.  The PREFACE Program is for students who will be entering the 11th or 12th grade in the fall. The University of Hartford and the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) are launching a new, exciting program for students considering a rewarding career in the architecture field while gaining valuable college experience. This pre-college program offers a unique three-week experience in architecture and design for rising high school juniors and seniors. The program is taught in the well-equipped architecture studios at the University of Hartford with additional opportunities outside of the studio including field trips, architecture firm visits, and more. If you know of a student who has an interest in design, art, architecture, construction, graphics, or related interests, encourage them to apply by May 1 for scholarship consideration.

Music Industry Summer Program

Through master classes and hands-on project learning, rising sophomores through recently graduated seniors in high school learn the art and craft of songwriting. In the mornings, you will work with professional producers and engineers to learn the basics of song construction, demo recording, and the process of mixing and mastering. In the afternoons, you will attend master classes and workshops that focus on the basics of copyright regulations, music marketing campaigns, and other highlights of the industry. One impactful week allows you to earn your first songwriting credits, meet passionate peers from all over the country, and learn how you can pursue your own career in the music industry.

Summer Musical Theatre Intensive: Preprofessional

SMTI Preprofessional fosters excellence, artistry, and a love of musical theatre in performers age 14–20. Our 2021 program will focus on themes of individual empowerment and self-creation, and engaging as a community of learners through art-making, observation, discussion, and reflection. From 9am-5pm, students will work during technique classes and in small group labs to explore scene and song text, comedic improv, on-camera technique, and vocal health, as well as creating movement variations on given choreography.  Each day, students will present individual content based on the new skills they are learning. Students should come to class in clothes that allow them to move easily. They should be prepared to participate in class sessions in a place that is well-lit and free from distractions, and should have a means to take notes during class sessions.  Our final pre-recorded showcase performance is developed, and the material chosen, with each specific participant in mind. This video showcase will serve as the final performance of the Intensive, with viewing links distributed to students, and a group watch-party! 

Young Composers Project: Summer Edition

Dates: August 2-6 and August 9-13

This remote two-week intensive is designed for students in grades 7–12 who are passionate about writing music. Learn composition techniques, approaches to media scoring while actively developing music for film, TV, and/or video game scenes. The online program includes synchronous instruction (approximately 1.5-3 hours per day) and supplemental online content for students to watch on their own. Students will participate in remote classes, small group breakout sessions, and 1:1 mentoring. Additional, Asynchronous material will be provided for students to watch on their own.

Summer Academy at University of Vermont

For an immersive learning experience this summer, encourage your high school students to explore the opportunities available through the University of Vermont! Summer Academic Opportunity
for High School Students

The Pre-College Summer Academy is an innovative and engaging online program for high school students. The program allows students to explore future academic and career pathways through college-level coursework and cultivate relationships with current Villanova students and faculty. 

Open to students aged 13 and above, but most beneficial to rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders, the program offers college-level coursework, professional and personal development opportunities and interactive workshops.

NovaEdge Diversity in Engineering – Virtual Summer Program which is a five-day program that introduces a diverse population of students from different ethnic and social backgrounds to the traditional fields of engineering, including Chemical, Civil and Environmental, Computer and Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. For over 30 years, WPI's Frontiers program has delivered innovative and life-changing STEM programs that empower students while giving them a glimpse of college life.
