Dear Feehan Families,
Welcome to our 2017-2018 school year! I hope you all have enjoyed a safe and restful summer. I am very excited to share with you the many improvements we have made over the summer months. Construction of the new Auxiliary Gym has begun and is expected to be complete the beginning of 2018. New windows on the east side of the Main Building have been installed. The Sister Pat Harrington Welcome/Admissions Center is now open. The new Paul O’Boy Athletic Pavilion is complete. We also retiled 13 classrooms/offices and painted 12 classrooms. As you can see it’s been a busy summer at Bishop Feehan High School.
Please go to the front page of the Bishop Feehan website and click on the link for OPENING OF SCHOOL PACKET. I ask that you please make special note of the following:
The high expectations that we have for the proper display of our school uniform at all times have not changed; however, it is to your advantage to review the dress code. The skirt length is not to be more than 2 inches above the knee. This is as much an enforcement issue for parents as well as it is the school.
Attendance Line – Please note that we have new options when calling into Feehan. We ask if your child is sick or going to be tardy not to call into school. Please email Mrs. Jeanne Force firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have provided information about the opening of school in a “user-friendly” format. Please print the mandatory health form and have your student bring it to school on their Orientation Day.
Please note that Chestnut Hill Studios is mailing the picture order form directly to your home. The students must have the picture form and payment with them on Orientation Day.
The Student Handbook will be passed out in homeroom on Orientation Day. Because it is so vital to the parents’ and students’ understanding of how we operate the school, I encourage families to read it together prior to signing the signature form. Your signature is the acknowledgement that you agree that you and your student will abide by the policies of Bishop Feehan High School. The Acknowledgement Signature Forms (page 78-80) included in the Student Handbook must be turned into the homeroom teacher on Tuesday, September 5.
SAVE THE DATE! On September 14, Feehan will host all parents for “Back to School Night”. This evening will be devoted to touring your child’s classes and meeting teachers.
In closing, I encourage students and parents to consult www.BishopFeehan.com on a regular basis. Calendars and handbooks are often produced early in the summer; therefore, the most up to date information is generally found on our school website. Additionally, we use this tool to convey information about TAG days, weather delays, and the like.
If I can be of any assistance on these matters, please do not hesitate to call me at the school or E-mail me at email@example.com.
Mr. Sean R. Kane
