Athletic Policies

ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION AND WELL BEING POLICY

Pre-Participation
Prior to athletic participation, each student athlete and their parents must register a Family ID. Each student-athlete must present a current certificate of physical fitness signed by a licensed physician, be ImPact tested prior to initial participation and every second year thereafter.
Reports
When a coach removes a student athlete from a game or practice due to a head injury, the coach (or trainer if attending) must complete an “Accident Report” approved by the Diocese of Fall River and containing information that would assist in the evaluation of the incident. This report must be filed with the Athletic Director on the date of the incident or on the next school day. The report must contain the information required by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The Athletic Director shall see that the trainer, school nurse, guidance department, and administration are advised of the incident.
Note: For the purposes of this policy, members of the Marching Band and their moderator(s) are considered student-athletes and coach(es).
