Twenty-Three Feehan Students Honored with Scholastic Art Awards

Eight students from Bishop Feehan High School have been recognized with Gold Key Scholastic Art Awards, representing the highest level of art in the state. Senior Catherine ‘Cammie’ Mulligan (Norton, MA) leads the way with an unprecedented four nominations in this year’s awards. She along with seven other art students from Feehan will be moving on to the national judging competition in New York City in June.

Joining Mulligan with multiple nominations are Eric Blair (Senior, North Attleboro), Rachel Erwin (Junior, Attleboro), Sofia Pelletiere (Senior, Mansfield), and Lierin Sullivan (Senior, Greenville, RI).

Eight students were awarded Gold Keys and will be moving on to the national judging in New York City. These works are currently displayed in the Doran Art Gallery at Feehan. There will be a student art gallery event on March 12 from 5-7 p.m.

Nine students from Feehan will be recognized for their Silver Key works at a ceremony in March at Tufts University.

Additionally, nine students have secured Honorable Mention nods.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards has been held annually for the past 95 years. The Massachusetts competition is sponsored this year by both the Boston Globe and Tufts University. Gold and Silver Key winners are invited to a ceremony at Cohen Auditorium at Tufts University on March 17.
