Bishop Feehan High School is pleased to welcome Mike Vitelli and Jennifer "JJ" Bartlett to the staff as the school’s new head coach of varsity girls’ lacrosse and varsity girls' tennis, respectively.
Vitelli brings a wealth of varsity high school head coaching experience with him to his new role with the Shamrocks and an extended network that includes time with the Goldstar Lacrosse club program out of Medway, MA and a stint as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Stonehill College.
At the high school level, Vitelli has been a girls head coach at Walpole High, King Philip High and at North Attleboro High School. At each stop on his coaching journey Vitelli’s teams have competed at the highest levels.
At King Philip from 2002-2007, Vitelli helmed a truly dominant run of success, including a 73-0-1 league record and two appearances in the South Sectional Championships and selection as the Boston Globe Division 1 Coach of the Year in 2007.
Bartlett is no stranger to the Feehan courts, as she served as the head coach for the Shamrocks in 2010, was an assistant in 2018 and was a four-year star (and state champion) during her playing days. Jackson is a 1990 graduate of Feehan. Coach Jackson takes over the head coaching role from Rob Zimmer, who will remain on the Feehan staff as Jackson’s assistant.
“We are excited for Coach Jackson and our tennis team,” noted Bishop Feehan Athletic Director Gary Doherty. Coach Zimmer and Coach Jackson were an excellent team last spring, and we are lucky to be able to keep them together. Coach Jackson’s skill and experience and enthusiasm will be a terrific addition to our head coaching roster here on Holcott Drive.”
