One Feehan Volunteer Interests

These descriptions below will be found on the Bishop Feehan One Feehan Volunteer page and will be added to Samaritan.

Once a volunteer selects an opportunity and submits their registration, they will receive an automatic welcome email with a CORI info link. No one can volunteer without being CORI’d. Once they have been completed the entire CORI process they will be marked in the system as active. At that time the volunteer coordinator can send a list of active volunteers to the leader of the committee or event, when requested.

Advancement Office Odd Jobs

This includes performing light administrative duties (mailings, data entry, etc) in the Feehan Advancement Office, located on the 3rd floor of Mercy Hall. There is no set schedule so the volunteer need arises as projects evolve.

Once you register, a staff member will be in touch to determine your availability and what projects might best suit you.

Advancement Office Semi Regular Assignments

This includes performing light administrative duties (mailings, data entry, etc) in the Feehan Advancement Office, located on the 3rd floor of Mercy Hall. A schedule can be determined for weekly or bi-weekly help.

Campus Beautification

This includes having a green thumb and the desire to dig in and help make the campus beautiful for the Spring.

Campus Christmas Decorating

This includes making the campus look festive at Christmas time. It is a great way to use creative ideas and holiday spirit to decorate the campus.

Concessions Helper

This includes volunteering time to support extracurricular activities at Feehan. Duties include setting up and selling snacks and drinks. Concessions are located at McGrath Field for sports and front foyer of the Auditorium/Gymnasium for theatre and basketball, and are run year round.

Once you register, a parent volunteer or staff member will be in touch to determine what sport or program you wish to support.

Field Trip Chaperone

This includes helping faculty supervise students during off-campus, academic related trips during a school day.

Freshman Grandparents Days Help - Fall

This includes helping at Freshman Grandparents Day, on October 14, 2020 (10am-1pm). Duties include setting up, guiding attendees to seats, ensuring all guests get their take away gift and cleaning up at the end of the event.

Gala - Event Night Volunteer

The Setting Our Hearts Gala is our signature adult social event held in March, showcasing Feehan’s mission and community, while supporting key strategic needs of the school. This includes helping with duties on the night of the event: set up, registration, raffle tickets/stations, and clean up.

Gala - Planning Committee

The Setting Our Hearts Gala is our signature adult social event held in March, showcasing Feehan’s mission and community, while supporting key strategic needs of the school. This includes brainstorming on elements of the event, assisting with marketing and promotions and working with other volunteers to prepare mailings. Involvement ranges from just a few hours to leadership roles, based on your interest and availability.

Homecoming Saturday - 2020

This includes helping to plan and work at  our annual Homecoming event as we build the Feehan tradition of fun for students, families, alumni and friends. The event is scheduled for a to-be-determined Saturday in October, 2020 and duties include day of planning, marketing, event set-up, game/activities support and post-event clean up.

Senior Grandparents Day Help - Spring

This includes helping to decorate the Rock for the arrival of the grandparents and their grandchildren for Senior Grandparents Day on May 26, 2020 (7:30am-11am). Duties include setting up, guiding attendees to seats, ensuring all guests get their take away gift and cleaning up at the end of the event.

Shamrock Shoppe Helper

This includes working the Shoppe for key events on the Feehan calendar. Volunteering for this includes 2 time frames: pre-event set up (1 hour), event (varies) and post-event packing up (1 hour). This portable store sells Feehan merchandise of all kinds.

Teacher Appreciation

This includes supporting BFHS teachers by volunteering 1-3 hrs of time once or twice a year, helping to organize, set up and serve. Two teacher appreciation breakfasts will be hosted - one in the spring and one in the fall.
