Senior Director of Marketing & Communications
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications is a senior leadership role responsible for building and stewarding the Bishop Feehan brand across all audiences and platforms. Reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the school President, this individual will serve as the school's chief brand and communications officer — shaping how prospective families, current students and families, alumni, donors, and the broader community understand and connect with Feehan's mission and momentum.
● Leadership role managing overall direction and execution of the communications & marketing function of the school.
● Manage one PT staffer (with opportunity for more as school approaches next capital campaign)
● Develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy aligned with the school's strategic vision
● Maintain and evolve brand identity guidelines, ensuring consistency in voice, visual design, and messaging across all channels and departments
● Lead the creation of high-quality print and digital collateral for all major institutional initiatives
● Partner with the Director of Admissions to develop and execute enrollment marketing campaigns targeting prospective students and families
● Help manage the full prospective-family communications journey from first inquiry through enrollment decision
● Develop audience-specific messaging that reflects the diverse reasons families choose Bishop Feehan
● Partner with the advancement team to produce donor-facing communications including appeals, campaign materials, impact reports, and planned giving collateral
● Develop alumni engagement content that sustains connection to the Feehan community over time
● Support major fundraising initiatives with compelling narrative and visual storytelling
● Lead the planning, content development, and production of Cornerstone, Bishop Feehan's alumni magazine, published twice per year
● Manage an editorial calendar that balances alumni profiles, school news, faculty highlights, and mission-driven storytelling
● Manage relationships with external vendors including designers, writers, photographers, and printers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
● Ensure every issue reflects the school's brand voice and serves as a meaningful touchpoint for the broader Feehan community
● Maintain and manage the School’s website and social media pages, including content, appearance and architecture of the site, working in conjunction with other departments to ensure their pages are consistent with standards for design, content and end user experience. Oversee the school's digital advertising efforts
● Develop and manage content calendars; create and curate content that is timely, mission-aligned, and audience-appropriate
● Track digital analytics and optimize strategy based on performance data
● Draft and distribute press releases, statements, and other external communications
● Proactively identify and pitch story opportunities that elevate Feehan's profile
● Help manage communications during sensitive or crisis situations in collaboration with the President
● Collaborate with academic and co-curricular leaders to surface and amplify the school's story from within
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, public relations, or a related field
● Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or a closely related role
● Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong editorial judgment
● Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, CMS systems, and email marketing platforms
● Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
● Be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
● A personal commitment to the Catholic mission of Bishop Feehan High School and an ability to articulate that mission authentically to diverse audiences
● Experience in an educational setting that includes advancement and enrollment responsibilities
● Familiarity with enrollment marketing and/or advancement/development communications
● Experience with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, Canva, or equivalent)
● Proven ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
