ATTLEBORO, MA - Bishop Feehan High School proudly announces its top-ranked students in the Class of 2020, who have excelled inside and outside the classroom during their four years on the school’s Holcott Drive campus.
These ten soon-to-be graduates rank the highest among a class of 276. The Class of 2020 will be the 56th to graduate from Feehan and will be another class with 100% of graduates accepted into one or more four-year colleges or universities.
The Top Ten students (alphabetically) are: Chase Beausoleil (Woonsocket, RI), Audrey Bulger (North Easton, MA), Christine DeRosa (Mansfield, MA), James Gamboli (Plainville, MA), Samir Kassem (North Attleboro, MA ), Jessica Levesque (Pawtucket, RI), Catherine Messier (Attleboro, MA), Maria Perry (Cumberland, RI), Julia Shelepov (Cumberland, RI), Sara Terrien (Cumberland, RI).
In addition, the top three students (in order and with profiles below) are: Valedictorian Audrey Bulger (North Easton, MA); Salutatorian Christine DeRosa (Mansfield, MA); Tree Dedicator (third in class) Chase Beausoleil (Woonsocket, RI).

They’ve been exceptional in every way. Our top academic students and this whole class make us immensely proud. We can’t wait to watch where their talent and resilience and work ethic take them next.”
Valedictorian
Audrey Bulger is the daughter of Edward (Ted) and Nikole Bulger of North Easton, MA, and a member of the Holy Cross parish in Easton.
As an incoming freshman, Audrey was awarded the prestigious President’s Scholarship for her performance on the school’s entrance exam. From the moment that Audrey set foot on Bishop Feehan’s campus, she immersed herself into the most demanding academic program that Feehan offers to incoming freshmen. Over the next four years, she continued to push her academic limits by taking a total of eight AP classes.
Audrey’s commitment to academics has earned her several impressive distinctions. She was named a National Merit Semi-Finalist 2019, won the Harvard College Book Award, and was awarded the medal as the Top Junior Math student, Top Sophomore Math student, Top Sophomore History student, Top Freshman English student, and Top Freshman Biology student at Bishop Feehan. She also won the Gold Medal for her performance on the National French Exam in 2019, and is a member of the National honor Society, and the French, Science, Math, and English Honor Societies.
Because of her academic strengths, she tutors a number of Feehan students in a variety of subjects. As a member of Bishop Feehan’s Math team, she was one of the team’s highest scorers in her junior year and was named to the SMCML All-Star team. As a senior, she was elected by her teammates to serve as one of the captains for this year’s team. Over the last two summers, Audrey participated as an intern with the Cardiovascular Research program at Massachusetts General Hospital, an experience that she considers to have been invaluable. Audrey also served as the co-president of Bishop Feehan’s Science club and is a member of Feehan’s Robotics team. In addition, Audrey is an accomplished violinist, performing with both the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and with the Bishop Feehan String Ensemble.
Audrey will be attending UMass Amherst where she is considering a major in the sciences.
Salutatorian
Christine DeRosa is the daughter of Thomas and the late Claire DeRosa of Mansfield, MA, and a member of Saint Mary’s parish where she currently volunteers as an altar server.
Christine’s commitment to academic excellence has earned her many distinctions. In her junior year Christine was recognized as a National Merit Commended Scholar and was also selected to the National Honor Society. In addition, she is also a member of the Science, Spanish, English, Math, Social Studies, and Art Honor societies. She served as President of the Science Honor Society, treasurer of the Spanish Honor Society, and co-president of the Math Honor Society. Furthermore, she was awarded the Gold Medal for being the top-performing student in languages and mathematics, science, and science and technology. She was also presented the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science award for her academic achievement in science. As a result of her academic achievement, she won the Yale book award.
Beyond her excellence in academics, Christine has also dedicated much of her free time to Community service over the last four years. She volunteered at Camp Sunshine, a weeklong overnight camp, working with children dealing with life threatening illnesses. At Feehan, she was an important part of Amigos, a cultural mentorship program, tutoring middle school students whose first language is not English. Because her faith is important to her, for three summers she volunteered as a group leader for her parish’s Vacation Bible School. At Feehan, one of her favorite service projects was Santa Shop, a program that collected and organized over three thousand toys that are eventually made available to underprivileged children in the Attleboro area. Because Christine is a high level Spanish student, she volunteered as a tour guide for Spanish speaking families who use Santa Shop to shop for gifts for their children.
During her freshman and sophomore years she was a member of the highly successful girls’ soccer program, earning her varsity letter after her sophomore year. She was also a member of several cubs at Feehan, including the Sunshine Club, the Red Cross Club, the 12th Man Club, and the Rock Walks club.
Christine will be attending the University of Notre Dame in September.
Tree Dedicator (Third-Ranked Student)
Chase Andrew Beausoleil is the son of Mr. Ronald Beausoleil and the late Mrs. Michelle Beausoleil of Woonsocket, RI, and a member of St. John Vianney Church of Cumberland, RI.
Chase is a member of the National, Spanish, English, History, Math, and Science National Honor Societies. His leadership skills are well honed and he is respected by his peers. Honor Society members in three different groups have elected him to leadership roles: President of the English National Society, Co-President of the Math Honor Society, and Vice President of the National Honor Society. He is a consistent Honor Roll student, a National Merit Commended Student, and the recipient of both the prestigious Rensselaer Medal as well as the Brown Book Award. Chase is an AP Scholar and an AP Capstone Diploma candidate. Chase has enjoyed much success as a Science Fair participant, earning a First Place finish both as a freshman and sophomore at the Bishop Feehan Science Fair. He was able to advance in both years to the Regional Science Fair at Bristol Community College as well as the State Science Fair held at MIT. With his project entitled “Illuminating the Problem: Bioluminescence,” Chase was awarded the opportunity to represent the state of Massachusetts at the Intel International Science Fair in Pennsylvania in 2018. His keen interest and aptitude in science will serve him well as he pursues a higher education and subsequently a career in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
In addition to his stellar performance in academics, Chase is also involved in several extracurricular activities on and off campus. He is a committed member of the varsity Winter and Spring track teams, involved in both running and field events. Chase also enjoys participating in Chess Club and playing guitar with the PAWS program every Friday morning before school. Chase enjoys volunteering his time with the Amigos Program assisting ESL students with their Math and English homework. In addition, he volunteers on a yearly basis as a tour guide at the annual Feehan Santa Shop. Since the summer of his freshman year, Chase has worked with his twin brother Hunter and his father to fix and flip old houses in their spare time, learning a great deal about construction, electrical systems, painting, grouting, and roofing. This experience, coupled with his keen interest and aptitude in science will serve him well as he pursues a career in the field of Engineering.
In the fall, Chase will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
