Coach Bob L’Homme ’77 Honored with Track Dedication After 40 Years at Feehan

After more than four decades of dedication to Bishop Feehan High School, Coach, Social Studies and Health teacher Bob L’Homme ’77 has officially crossed the finish line of his extraordinary career, but not without one final victory lap.

On Sunday, June 8, during the annual Alumni Track Meet, more than 150 alumni, colleagues, family members and friends gathered at McGrath Stadium for a surprise tribute: the official naming of the school’s newly renovated track in his honor. Now and forever, student-athletes will run on Coach Bob L’Homme ‘77 Track, a lasting symbol of one man’s impact on generations of Shamrocks.

Over 40 years, he became a fixture in both the classroom and on the field, serving as chair of the Health and Fitness Department and leading countless student-athletes to personal bests, league titles and lifelong lessons in discipline, sportsmanship, and heart.

Coach L’Homme’s legacy is written not only in trophies and records, but in the lives he’s touched: the students who found confidence in his classroom, the athletes who discovered their strength under his guidance and the countless alumni who returned this weekend to say thank you.
