High School Entrance Exam (HSPT)

All 8th grade applicants must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT), a nationally recognized private school entrance exam. Scores are considered, but admissions decisions are based on a holistic review. Students need to test only once.

Dates: Saturday Nov 22 OR Saturday Dec 6 

Fee: $35 payable online during registration 

Preparation: Families may wish to utilize this HSPT study guide or practice test to familiarize themselves with exam format and content. 

Location: We strongly recommend that students take the exam at Bishop Feehan. If you choose another location, please note that Bishop Feehan will not appear as a score-sharing option. To ensure scores are sent to Feehan promptly, please follow the steps below:

• Email Bishop Feehan your testing location and date for inclusion in your student's application file
• Contact the testing school and request that your scores be shared with Bishop Feehan ([email protected])
• Request that scores be shared with you directly 

HSPT registration is completed within the Class of 2030 application in Ravenna. You must start the application to register, as the exam is not listed as an upcoming event.
