Shamrock Field Hockey 7v7 Summer League
Clinic Format:
The clinic will run for the first hour prior to the start of the summer league games. It will focus on individual skill development, offensive field hockey skills (dribbling, receiving, passing and shooting), defensive field hockey skills ( jab, tackle, channeling) as well as understanding tactical principles of the game (1v1 and 2 v1 attacking, dealing with pressure, defending, decision making).
Summer League Format:
Balanced teams will play short field 7v7 games and will be coached by camp counselors. The games will consist of two, 20 minute halves with a 5 minute break for half time.

Shin guards

Turf shoes or sneakers

Camp Director
Camp Director Betsy D'Ambrosia has been the head field hockey coach at Bishop Feehan since 2019. With each year their record has improved and includes multiple CCL league titles as well as qualifycations for state tournaments. This past year, they made it to the quarter finals and finished ranked 8th in the state for Division 1. Coach D'Ambrosia attended Providence College, where she played field hockey throughout. During each of her four years at PC, the field hockey team qualified for the NCAA tournament, with their best showing of finishing sixth overall in the country. In addition, Coach D’ambrosia has coached varsity field hockey in Westwood and Medfield. She also coached in the USFHA Futures program and a variety of camps and clinics.
