Reunion Toolkit

Welcome to your Reunion ToolKit!

The Advancement Office wants to support alumni planning reunions and will do our best to help make them successful - and fun!

Please use this Toolkit as a resource when planning your fantastic Feehan reunion! As we receive feedback from alumni, we will update this page with additional resources and ideas.

Bishop Feehan Advancement office is dedicated to supporting each class and can do the following:

  • Connect alumni from the same class who have expressed interest in planning a reunion
  • Provide social media posts on the Bishop Feehan social media channels to spread the word
  • Share the official branded Feehan reunion logo
  • Offer local venue suggestions in a variety of price points
  • Brainstorm ideas and offer suggestions based on what’s worked well for other classes!

Please stay in touch and let us know when your reunion will be held by emailing Melissa L.  Hodgdon, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at [email protected]

You are welcome to use our branded Feehan Reunion logo download!

FAQs

For no cost, you can utilize social media to find classmates! Create an alumni FB/X/IG/Tik Tok to connect with classmates. Classmates is a great way to connect with alumni as well. Additionally, Bishop Feehan can promote your reunion information on our social media accounts.

The big question! We’ve seen reunions have really high overhead costs or spend almost no money. Really, it’s up to you and what you would like for your event. We can share venue suggestions for local and remote options. A google search may give you some ideas from other schools as well!

The first step is to get the word out about the reunion! We would suggest mailing a postcard six months to a year in advance to let classmates know the reunion dates. This postcard should also include a contact name, phone number and email address for the person planning the event.

Finding lost classmates can be difficult, even when they may live locally. Some organizations have suggested purchasing newspaper ads or to broadcast public service announcements during winter holidays to catch people who have returned home for the holidays.

Of course, when promoting events like this, social media is your friend! Create an alumni class FB/IG/X/Tik Tok page. And, Bishop Feehan can promote your reunion information on our social media accounts as well!

People have hosted reunions at a neutral location close to Bishop Feehan and remote tropical destinations as well. It is up to you! We recommend you create a survey or host a Zoom and get suggestions from your other classmates during the initial phase of reunion planning.
YES! Having an option available  for a Zoom or Google Meet is a wonderful way to include classmates who can not attend in person! Check out these free meeting platforms that are available.
It depends what you want/need at the event. Some classes have purchased box lunches from Panera Bread for $15 per person and others have had full table service and open bar for $300 per person. Bishop Feehan can suggest local vendors if you are interested!
There are many streaming services that you may have a personal account with – Spotify, Amazon Music, Itunes, and Sirius XM are some of them. One great idea is to ask a classmate to make a playlist with all of your favorite music from the years you were in high school. To stream music, simply hit play on your phone or iPad and link it to a small portable speaker.

There are many ideas for decorations that don’t have to cost a lot of money:

  • Have classmates bring copies of photos from their time at Feehan and hang around the room, include on tables or as centerpieces.
  • Bring Feehan gear from the past to wear or hang up!
  • Contact your local florist and purchase some potted Shamrocks, that you can then use as gifts for attendees.
  • Balloons in Feehan Green and Gold are a nice touch.
  • And, while this isn’t a decoration, consider supplying name tags for all attendees to help assist all in name recognition!
Yearbook photos, photos copied from social media pages, and often a google search can find fun pictures of you and your classmates! You could create name tags with a high school picture on them! Here is a link to our archived yearbooks for your convenience.

Share the event on your social media pages! At the event be sure to collect all your classmates' email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses so when you plan the next event it will be that much easier to let everyone know!

We’d love to include your gathering in Alumni Updates in the Cornerstone magazine. Report a classnote for Cornerstone!
